Watched feeding for about 10 minutes in the Dorney Wetlands area before it flew down to the weir at Eton Wick where is landed on the buoys. Later flushed by Canada Geese and seen to fly upstream with two Common Terns and past the bridge which had previously seen to be a barrier. Lost from sight but them re-found at 18:22 just west of Lake End Road (Bucks) when it was heading back to the Dorney Wetlands area and subsequently reported by Jerry O'Brian.

Flew in at Slough Weir at 11am. Flew off high West at 12:35. Reported at Manor Farm Weir at. Was present here for the rest of the day. Each hour feeding upstream at East Marsh. At 18:00 flew upstream into Bucks. At 18:25 returned to Berks to perch on white buoy on East marsh. Present till 20:00 when I assume in flew back to QMR.

Circa 3pm it was at Dorney wetlands, it then flew back towards Eton but settled on the line of yellow bouys at the wood lane weir.

present all afternoon on the yellow buoys at the 'Slough Weir' For c20min each hour it would fly downstream to feed returning each time to perch on the buoys again. Last seen at 17:50 when it drifted off high and east. I assume to roost at QMR.

After appearing to depart south east at 12:40, what was believed to be the same bird was re-found by Derek Barker at 13:15 heading south above the west bank before again spiraling up into the clouds and was lost somewhere over Windsor Castle. Key holders only.

First seen at 6am and then again at 8am but not since. Last seen to land on the tower and not seen to leave so may still be present. Very brief views. Apart from the slender black bill visible in the photo it had long tail streamers and was smaller than Commons (per Mike McKee). Despite the brief views and the rarity value we felt the news has to go out before better views can be got. Key holders only.
