drake. Light was very bad! Could not see colours well but pale back, tall rounded head, back sloping into water all just about visible, absolutely no crest/tuft. Also at least one prob. yellow leg gull with LBB.

No sign of the drake reported earlier between this time and 16:05, both west and east of Searles Farm Lane. Nine Goldeneye, four drake, to the west, a drake to the east and a Red Kite over the western pit from 15:19. Please only view from the public footpath.

fem. Still present this morning. Upstream of the Old Windsor Weir, prefering to be close to the southern bank opposite the DANGER sign. Moves across to near the sign when a walker passes by. Flushed this morning by rowers but had returned by 16:00 when I looked again. This is a different bird than on the Jubilee River.

1stw male + female. Just the female found upstream of Pococks Lane Bridge at 11:00. Returned at 15:00 to find the female back in the weir at Black Potts Viaduct and the 1st winter male upstream of Pococks Lane Bridge.
