2 ad. + 1 juv. Feeding from dead tree south of river just east of "gnarled oak" - at least one foray north into berkshire airspace. Didn't notice juvenile until I'd inspected images at home ! Please only view from the public footpath.

Spent an hour trying to digiscope an adult, and just as we gave up a fledgeling landed at our feet. We ushered it off the track and retreated to watch the adults feed it. Lovely! Photos on photo page.

2 ad 2 juv. I watched the adults feeding,as at least 2 young sheltered in various places. The family kept up contact calls for the 20 minutes I watched them but as the vegetation's quite dense, I didn't see any feeding of the young. SU6475.

Setting up a digiscoping bracket on my scope, took a photo of what I first thought was a sparrow. Turned out to be a flycatcher, with another sitting on the same branch. Fantastic garden tick! SU50451.

Finally seen well after 1.5 hours wait. Spent a lot of time in the "paddock" with the chicken coop opposite Victoria Cottage, and some more time in the oak tree overhanging Grove Lane.
