3 years + fem. This female chaffinch with the warty growth on her legs has returned after an abscence of must be 6 months. The growth obviously does not hinder her life span, she must be at least 3 years old ! Identified by warty growth She must have migrated somewhere ---- some of these birds which we think do not migrate in fact do so --- and are replaced by those from the continent over the winter period. .
