| 16:07 | Clambered up reeds in middle section, sent a text and re-found it way to left, about 50 feet right of newly cut reed. Showed very well at face of reeds until 16:27 when flew to right, landing just left of in line with only pale tree trunk behind. Prior to flying it looked very agitated and alert, past sightings of this behaviour often led to finding a 2nd bird. But 2nd bird theory not proven tonight. | |||

| 10:20 | First seen along north shore of lake, climbed to top of reeds and showed well for c10 minutes. It then flew towards scrape but landed out of view behind reeds on bund. Not seen again by 11:30 when we left. | |||
