Arriving in my garden daily, as they have been since mid-summer, in waves of 60+ at a time, the remainder perched in surrounding trees and roofs. They go bonkers for suet pellets which I have two feeders for, and although I buy in bulk it's still costing me a small fortune, but hey, it's nice to see such numbers, I used to be lucky to get 3 or 4!

No Starling shortage in this part of Tilehurst; up to 30+ have been coming to suet pellet feeder in my garden all day, every day this month. First young seen in first week and now there are swarms of them, some now independent and new ones being fed by parents. Difficult to assess true number but total could well be double my estimate.
