The Ibis was apparently seen flying across the Thames by Jackie Newcombe. It flew from some fields to the west of the line of Riverside houses that are west of Cockmarsh. The bird then seemed to spend the rest of the day on the Bucks side of the river.

Flood in farmers field immediately NW of Cockmarsh. Grid ref SU 88498 87208. Originally found by S Ramm on Bucks side of river on 13th. Present until 16.30 but gone by 16.35. Missed its departure. (V dodgy record shot through bins in fading light.). SU885872.

Just missed it on Berks side (from top of Winter Hill near Golf Course) as other birders had just seen it fly back to Little Marlow side c15:30. SU883867.

Viewable from winter hill from above the yellow digger at bottom of hill or through trees lower down. To clarify the ibis is on Berks side of river.

Flew from Bucks side of the river into Berks when flushed by a dog, and visible from Bucks. Moving regularly between either side of the river. Wellies essential from Little Marlow.

A 1st winter bird found by Simon Ramm about 14:00 on the Bucks side of the river, seen to fly into Berks and land in a meadow next to the river. Possibly viewable from the track that leads from Winter Hill to Cockmarsh if it remains until tomorrow.
