13:00	Whilst concentrating on attacking tree stumps with sledgehammer in the garden 8 Red Kites appeared out of nowhere circling very close & coming below roof level , 2 attacking another 2 but all but 1 disappeared as quickly as they had appeared. Remining individual must be resident male as he went straight to his favourite branched a called for a short time. As far as I am aware nobody feeds them locally & I am sure none of them were carrying food . Bin day locally but they were cleared several hours before . .
