Sitting in the entrance to its habitual roosr. I hope it has the energy to start hunting (soon) tonight... if it has it should do far better than in recent nights.

A little more adept (than the nearby barn owl) in coping with the wet... at least this owl appeared to be hunting tonight, under the trees.

Sitting in its roost. Yet again grounded by the rain (sleet). (Desperately worrying times for barn owls).

Our "local" owl. Sheltering from the rain in its roost. Hope it manages to hunt later tonight.

Quartering low in the awful nyd rain in daylight. Must have been desperate for a vole. And I don't think I've ever seen such a white barn owl..Front and back. Must be a male I presume, and a very pale one indeed.

Circling low overhead with seven kites. Crows only mob buzzards these days round here... not generaly bothered by the omnipresent kites but ENRAGED by any buzzard.
